  • The Mexico Electronic Authorization is only available for citizens of Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
  • If you are from one of these countries and you hold a valid visa or residence permit to Canada, USA, Japan, UK, or any Schengen Country you don’t require a visa to enter Mexico.
  • The Authorization allows a Single Entry of a maximum stay of 180 days Per Entry.
  • You should arrive in Mexico by plane.

The Mexico Electronic Authorization System (ETA, or SAE by its initials in Spanish) allows nationals of Ukraine, Russia, and Turkey to travel to Mexico for a period of up to 180 days Per Entry without having to obtain a visa from their corresponding Mexican Embassy. Visitors entering Mexico on an Electronic Authorization must arrive by plane and must not carry out paid activities. The valid reasons for travel are tourism, transit, businesses (without receiving payment in Mexico), study, medical reasons, etc. The first step to applying for an Electronic Authorization is to fill out an easy online application. Once you have electronically submitted your application, you will receive the confirmation by email. It’s that simple!
